Rates & Insurance

Do you accept insurance?

I currently participate with Priority Health, Priority Health Medicaid, Meridian Health Plan, ASR Heath Benefits, HAP (PPO only), Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and Blue Cross Complete.

Please be aware that not all concerns that will bring you to counseling will be covered by your insurance plan, some insurance plans require pre-authorization, and some insurance plans offer a limited number of behavioral health services/session per year.  You will be responsible to know your insurance plan offerings and limitations.

The best way to determine your coverage is to call the number on the back of your insurance card.

Asking the following questions may be helpful:

  • Does my plan include mental/ behavioral health benefits?
  • Does my plan have a limit to the number of mental/ behavioral health services I receive per year?  If so, How many session will my plan cover and how many have I already had this year?
  • Do I have a deductible?  If so, how much is it and have I met it yet?
  • Do I need prior authorization in order for my services to be covered?

Please note: If I do not participate with your insurance plan, many plans offer out-of-network benefits and may cover all or part of the services provided.  I will also work with you to help provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement.

Rates

    Rate will vary depending on your insurance provider and plan.  The best way to determine your cost will be to contact your insurance provider and determine your coverage and if there are any out of pocket costs up front such as a co-pay.

Self-pay

     Many may choose to self-pay and avoid the use of insurance altogether.  There are many benefits to this, including, greater privacy by limiting the amount of information that would need to be shared with your insurance provider and billing specialist, avoiding limitation or restrictions on types or amounts of services provided, and avoiding time spent with excess paperwork or phone calls with your insurance provider.

   Other reasons individuals choose self-pay is, as stated above a particular concern that has brought one to counseling is not covered by an insurance plan or perhaps one does not have insurance coverage.

   During your free consultation by phone or in office, rendering payment for services will be discussed and if you are choosing self-pay, service rates will be discussed.  It is my desire to make counseling services attainable and affordable for everyone.  I will offer sliding scale rates a need is presented.

Payment

  Payment (co-pay or payment in full) for service will be due at the time of service.  Payments can be made through a secure client portal with your credit card or HSA account.  Payment can also be made in office by credit, cash or check made payable to Persenaire Counseling Services, LLC

Cancelation Policy

Cancellation or rescheduling must be made 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.  Failing to cancel or reschedule your appointment will result in a $30.00 charge to you.  You will receive an email notification of your appointment 24 hours before and it will include a link for you to cancel or reschedule.  Exceptions may be made in the event of an emergency and each case will be discussed and determined with your counselor.
